February 2003, 1st International Mother Language Day (IMLD) Celebration in Malaysia.

"Why Malaysia should celebrate? Malaysia should be proud of our linguistic diversity which is a great national resource that should be leveraged to our advantage in the era of globalization to play an important social and economic role on the world stage. For this reason, Malaysia whether government or the civil society should celebrate the IMLD on February 21 every year in a big way, as the country is the home of several mother tongues of its citizens. Therefore, Dong Jiao Zong Higher Learning Centre begin the afford by organizing IMLD in Malaysia by publishing magazine and carry out series of activities."
KLF's participation include delivering an IMLD message " Mother Tongue Education In Malaysia"' exhibiting its work and holding books exhibition & sales. KLF was represented at IMLD by Rita Lasimbang, Chief Executive Officer (5th from left) & Lena J. Sipulou, Assistant Research Officer (3rd from left).

April 2003, KLF Golf Fund Raising Activities

KLF Golf is a yearly event which aims to raise funds to finance and support KLF's work in preservation and maintenance of mother tongue. Therefore this year's tournament - dubbed "KLF GOLF 2003" - once again provides golf enthusiasts an excellent opportunity to make their statement of support for this cause.

13 May 2003, Kadazandusun Language Teacher Writers Workshop (Tambunan District)

Kadazandusun Language Teacher Writers Workshop are one of the activities that organized by Kadazandusun Language Foundation in conjunction with the Kadazandusun Language Week (MGMBK) 2003 for kadazandusun teachers. The objective of this workshop is to pick a creativities teachers in Kadazandusun language to create their works in their language himself. They already given practice to write their writing in mother tongue language further publishing that books.

KLF Executive Officer, Pn. Rita Lasimbang was presented paper work "The Role Of The Kadazandusun Language Foundation In Maintenance Of Identity In The Context Of Globalization" during Asia-Pacific Forum For UNESCO "Future of Our Culture" organized by Asia/Pacipic Cultural Centre for UNESCO (ACCU) at Tokyo, Japan on 29 - 31 July 2003.
